Born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO, Jordan is a graduate of The Ailey School/ Fordham University BFA program in New York City. He has trained internationally at programs including River North Chicago, Jacob’s Pillow, Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, Springboard Danse Montreal, and Deltebre Danse in Spain.

His professional stage credits include Montreal based companies EZDanza, Jose Navas/Company Flak and Cas Public. Jordan danced for over 5 years with Cirque Du Soleil’s Zumanity & most recently danced with the Martha Graham Company for their historic 90th season international tour. Jordan’s career spans film, fashion, and dance including Academy Award-winning film Black Swan starring Natalie Portman, New York Fashion Week, as well as three international Vogue publications.  Jordan was the Creative Coordinator and Rehearsal Assistant for Nevada Ballet Theatre in 2017/2018 season before becoming the 2018 recipient of the Tanztendenz Choreographic Residency in Munich, Germany. In December Jordan will receive his MFA in Choreography at Trinity Laban Conservatory of Music and Dance in London, England. Jordan is the current Executive Director of Colorado Springs Dance Theatre and looks forward to sharing his solo research with patrons in Colorado Springs.

As a Curbside Culture host site, you will be responsible for (1) providing electricity by running an extension cord to the performance location, and (2) gathering a small audience to enjoy the performance. Pricing and performance options are listed below, and all financial transactions should be conducted directly with the performer, in a mutually convenient manner.

  • “Lecture, Demonstration, Performance” is a 55 min performance art piece created in real-time through Socratic discussion. Part dialogue, part monologue, part choreography, part improvisation, this work is a broad reflection on dance as an art form through the ages. Its purpose is to challenge assumptions about expression, perception, and the human body. The funds from the purchasing of this piece go directly to support Colorado Springs Dance Theatre’s efforts to expand its educational programming.

  • “Living Safely between Emergencies” is an 18 min solo performance for a max of 10 audience members. In a private atmosphere, this contemporary immersive work is a response to the shifts in human intimacy, connectedness, and shared responsibility in the wake of the new global landscape.

Launched in 2020 by the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region, Curbside Culture brings the performing arts out into the community by facilitating small-scale live performances at private residences, business events, cultural venues, assisted living facilities, and neighborhood gatherings.
