Rebekah Shardy

I am the author of "98 Things a Woman Should Do in Her Lifetime," (Andrews McMeel, 2003), first place winner of the Author Fest of the Rockies Contest, Short Story Division, for “Green Feathers,” Manitou Springs, Colorado, October 3, 2009, freelance contributor in local/national periodicals; initiated the MIGHTY MUSE WRITING PROGRAM FOR WOMEN free creative writing workshops for survivors of incarceration, domestic violence and addiction, for which I won the Community Building Award from the Arts, Business and Education Award in 2007; Volunteer of the Year award for the Gay and Lesbian Center in 2009 for the first Colorado Springs compilation of original stories from the GLBT community (Colors of Courage) on which I based the Dialogues of Courage meetings with conservative churches, including the Vanguard Church gatherings of 800 persons.
