 he Black Tie-optional Red Ribbon Ball is Southern Colorado AIDS Project's 
 premier fund-raising event and the only AIDS Ball in Colorado. In an era o
 f increasing funding restrictions\, that effectively cut Federal funding f
 or AIDS Service Organizations\, community support of fundraisers is vital.
  S-CAP plays a critical role in our community: educating citizens on the r
 isks and realities of living with the disease\, combating prejudice\, test
 ing for HIV\, and providing prevention services\, counseling\, and help to
  people and families living with HIV/AIDS to gain medical care\, housing\,
  food\, and nutritional support.\nRoseanne Barr\, ranked #9 in Comedy Cent
 ral's list of &ldquo\;100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time&rdquo\; comes to 
 us from her ongoing engagement as the headliner at the Sahara Hotel's Cong
 o Room in Las Vegas. She is also active with her production company\, Full
  Moon and High Tide\, which recently signed a deal to produce original pro
 gramming for VH1\, and produced Roseanne's comedy special\, Roseanne Barr:
  Blonde and Bitchin'\, which aired on HBO.\nAlso appearing: Randy Rodrigue
 z performs the best of Sinatra\, Dean Martin\, Elvis and Michael Bubl&eacu
 te\; along with rock\, swing\, Latin and all-time party favorites. DJ Jona
 than Starr spins the greatest dance hits of the 70's and 80's and Out Loud
 : The Colorado Springs Men's Chorus will sing selections from their repert
 oire.\n \nDoors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $125 per person and are availab
 le online by visiting the S-CAP website\, www.s-cap.org\, and following th
 e links to the Red Ribbon Ball or by calling the Southern Colorado AIDS Pr
 oject at 719-578-9092. A $' ticket option includes a VIP reception at The
