 Break from the herd! Once again\, we're reminded that Colorado Springs has
  a wild west pedigree\, and nothing makes this heritage more obvious than 
 the annual Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo. With events like steer wrestling\, ba
 reback bronco riding\, tie-down roping\, barrel racing\, team roping and s
 omething called 'wild cow milking\,' you're sure to remain on the edge of 
 your seat. This is one of the nation's premier rodeo competitions\, and no
 body with Wranglers and 'kickers would dare miss it. The event kicks off a
 s always with the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Parade which makes its way thro
 ugh the heart of downtown at 7 p.m. on Tuesday\, July 8. Then Wednesday th
 rough Saturday\, the PPOB rodeo is in full swing\, beginning with pre-show
  events at 7 p.m. and full-blown rodeo action following at 7:30. A special
  Saturday matinee is also offered with pre-show at 12:30 p.m.\, rodeo at 1
