 only with crucial ingredients and their secret recipes! Gumbo begins cooki
 ng at 8 a.m.\, with public tasting (two tastings for a dollar!) following 
 the judging around 10:45 a.m.\nThere is no entry fee for contestants and w
 inners will receive cash prizes and trophies. Competition is limited to 18
  entries. Pre-registration is required and contestant entry applications a
 re due to the Manitou Chamber by 5 p.m. on Friday\, January 23rd. Gumbo ca
 tegories will be amateur and professional. Please go to www.manitousprings

 rnivale Parade takes over downtown Manitou following the cook-off. For inf
