 tive Order 9066\, over 10\,000 Japanese\, most being American citizens\, w
ere forcibly imprisoned at the Granada Relocation Center in Granada\, Colo
rado from 1942 to 1945. The camp's official name became 'Camp Amache.' T
oday\, Amache is maintained by the Amache Preservation Society. The socie
ty was established by Mr. John Hopper\, a social studies teacher at Granad
a High School\, and consists of volunteer students from that school. With
the help of other organizations\, the Amache Preservation Society has ren

was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994\, and desi

the Amache Preservation Society. \nJoin us for a fascinating look into th
