 rs. Explore the collection to create a new exhibit. Join the Museum Experi
 ence at the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum. In a collaborative small-gro
 up setting\, you learn how exhibits come to life&hellip\;not by observing\
 , but by doing. Museum staff provides 2 1/2 days of hands-on access and wo
 rkshop training. You provide a fresh perspective and community insight. Ev
 er wonder what makes a museum? What makes a community? What makes the Pike
 s Peak region? All three questions are explored in one new program that in
 vites you to become a community curator as we create our first exhibit tog
 ether: ART IN THE PIKES PEAK REGION.\n\nDuring day one\, we go on a behind
 -the-scenes tour with the Director\, visit artifact storage to select obje
 cts with the Registrar and begin archival research with the Curator. Day t
 wo continues with staff-led object research\, building mounts with the Exh
 ibit Designer\, writing labels using the Museum's exclusive resources&hell
 ip\;and\, of course\, more peeks behind closed doors with the Museum staff
 . Day three means it's time to celebrate! Arrive before the public and hel
 p our staff make final installations in the new community gallery. Then re
 veal your work at our opening reception and share your Museum Experience w
