 as demonstrating. Meet these Colorado artists and celebrate their new coll
 ections. \nMelissa Cooper's body of work consists of mostly wildlife sculp
 ture and reflects her love for nature. She is self-taught and was influenc
 ed greatly by her parents who are both established artists. Her pieces ran
 ge from desktop to larger than life in size.\nRick Young's paintings recor
 d the quiet beauty of the rural Southwest\, captured in painterly fashion 
 with bold brushwork. But most striking is Rick's dynamic use of color. The
  artist scrapes beneath the dusty surface of the Southwest to draw forth t
 he vibrant color rarely glimpsed by the casual observer. Rick's work has r
 eceived awards at the Santa Fe Trail International Art Show in Trinidad\, 
 Colorado and has been featured in the Art Explorers Gallery of Castle Rock
