12-04-01\n\nA new solo play written and performed by Jim Jackson has its'
premiere at the MAT Thursday\, March 22 and continues through April 1st.
\nGods\, Guns\, and Pancakes (A Sideshow of Folly) is the story of one per
former's quest for laughs in the traveling world of the small circuses kno
 wn affectionately as &ldquo\;mud shows&rdquo\;. In 1976 Jim began a &ldquo
\;seat of the pants&rdquo\; education as a professional clown that took hi
m from the surreal world of a new European circus\, to political street th
eatre\, to the absurdist world of tented American circus. Combining true s
tories\, poetry\, video and classical clown routines\, Jim weaves together
a portrait of the artist as a young clown surviving in a harsh and exotic
show biz world. This performance is not suitable for children. \n\nWant
