  5-week course begins with learning the basics of these programs from open
 ing\, saving and organizing files to utilizing the menus and customizing t
 he workspace. Students will learn how to use a wide variety of editing too
 ls\, correct exposures\, create black-and-white and colorized photos\, rem
 ove unwanted objects\, work with layers\, perform actions\, merge photos i
 nto panoramas\, and prepare files for print. Students will need a laptop w
 ith Photoshop CS3 or Photoshop Elements 8 or higher. Use of a mouse is rec
 ommended.\n\nEach student is given a CD with a collection of photographs t
 hat are used to demonstrate various tools. Everyone works together on the 
 same photos as instruction is given in order to maximize the learning proc
 ess.\n\nStart time: Wednesdays at 6:00-9:00 p.m.
