 erica Society of Southern Colorado (JASSC) will celebrate 'Kodomo-no-Hi' (
 Japanese Children's Day - a day to honor and celebrate all children) on Sa
 turday\, May 5th\, 2012 with a fun-filled festival that will include many 
 hands-on traditional Japanese activities and craft-making such as origami\
 , calligraphy\, koto musical instrument playing\, and carp making. Volunte
 er teachers will coach children in making the craft items. All supplies wi
 ll be provided and children may take home everything they make\, just in t
 ime for Mother's Day.  Traditional Japanese festivities that will include 
 Ninja and Martial Arts demonstrations\, dancing\, music and a Taiko (Japan
 ese drums) performance. The final event will be a Gala Children's Fashion 
 Show\, a popular photo-op event. All children are reminded to wear their k
 imono's\, yukata's\, martial arts uniforms\, and oriental costumes so that
  they can be a participant in the Fashion Show.  For more information abou
