\nFrom undiscovered civilizations of prehistory to ruins of future post ap
ocalyptic empires\, Artifacts brings together an exquisite\, mythical coll
ection that transcends time\, space\, and reality. Some pieces blend scien
ce with antiquity\, while others may represent a cultural fusion. Overall\
, the show guarantees the keen observers a unique glimpse into worlds that
cannot exist\, from times that never were.\n\nDeborah Hager\, sole propri
etor Clay By Nature Pottery\, enjoys the confluence of organic subject mat
ter with geometrical structures and considers these designs as a statement
about our lives having order and serendipitous moments woven together.\n
\nJerry Rhodes likes to combine seemingly disparate elements drawn from a
global\, temporal\, and cultural palate to form a composition. Some piece
s may blend science with antiquity. Jerry currently serves as the Joint St
aff Air and Missile Defense Liaison to the North American Aerospace Defens
e Command (NORAD).\n\nLisa Messinger's style is influenced heavily by the
complex philosophy of wabi-sabi &ndash\; which is\, simply put\, the rever
ence for the beauty of that which is old\, imperfect and decrepit. One of
her favorite pieces was created from her shredded 1995 income tax files (n
ot a great year!)\, which are now a soothing work titled Solar Leaves.\n\n
