At the age of 14, he was already a part of the Dallas/Fort Worth music scene and playing regularly in the clubs along Jacksboro Highway. During the early 80's, he formed and sang with his own band 'The Sidemen.' In 1991, they opened for John Mayall. When the legendary Coco Montoya left the Bluesbreakers in 1993, Mayall called Buddy to fill in and he's been performing with Mayall ever since.=0D=0A=The Atomic Fireballs, featuring local favorites Russ Spaeth (former owner of the Music Exchange) and Carlos Crull, will be backing Buddy up.=0D=0A='We're truly fortunate to be able to bring Buddy Whittington to Colorado Springs for this free show,' says Amy Whitesell of A Music Company, Inc., 'I expect every guitarist who is not working that night to be at McCabe's.
