The entire community is invited to come together to show support for the people of Japan. The Japan American Society of Southern Colorado, with the support of Pikes Peak Community College, PPCC's Communications, Humanities and Technical Studies division, PPCC Campus Life and the Japanese Club are collecting donations for the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund.  =0D=0A=We plan to offer many students lead activities, including:=0D=0A=Foods: traditional foods, including a sushi demonstration, Koto (Japanese zither), calligraphy, origami, flower arrangements, a tea ceremony, artist alley, anime showings, karaoke, Japanese dance, Cosplay contest, traditional crafts (like Furoshiki), Shakuhachi (Japanese Flute: zen meditation pieces, folk songs, etc), martial art, and the pop singers from Denver, Almost Angel.=0D=0A==0D=0A=PPCC and UCCS Japanese language classes will participate; students will entertain and offer lessons in Japanese language and culture. JASSC is donating 100% of funds raised to Red Cross ~ Japan to best help the people of Japan.=0D=0A= =0D=0A=0D=0AStart time:10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
