Class is followed by demonstrations of techniques such as incising, line and edge, collage, use of oil pigments, glazing, stencils, monotypes and carving. Following the instructor demonstrations, participants will enjoy a brief (20-30 minute) hands-on encaustic painting session. This introductory class is suitable for anyone who wants to find out more about the “hot” new art medium everyone's talking about, as well as providing a foundation for those who plan to continue to explore painting with encaustics by enrolling in full day Painting with Encaustics Workshops.=0D=0A=Ages 16 - Adult.
