Artist Steve Weed created the powerful body of work known as "Ashes to Art" out of his reaction to being forced from his home by the Waldo Canyon Fire, his observations about the efforts by first responders to save the Mountain Shadows neighborhood, his relief at learning his home was not lost, and his deep concern for neighbors and friends whose homes were destroyed.
