“Art Rock” has been described as a style of rock music that emerged in the 1970s; associated with attempts to combine rock with jazz and other forms; intended for listening and not dancing. The Rock 'n Art Exhibit at the Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts is described as a style of “Rock Art,” which merges all mediums of artistic expression in a celebration of the popular music that shapes our lives and influences society.
Such art is intended for viewing, purchasing, and collecting.
It might even cause one to dance.
All artists are encouraged to enter, professional and amateur.
All mediums will be considered.
