Organization: Bristol Brewing Co.
City: Colorado SpringsDescription:
Smokebrush Foundation, Bristol Brewing Co and The Independent want your design for their 2009 "Smokebrush Porter" Beer label competition. The winning design will adorn all bottles of the Porter issued in 2009. The competition is open to all Colorado residents and the winner will receive $250, a case of the finished beer, and a write up about them in the Independent's "Drinks" special pull-out section. Entries are due by 5 p.m., November 10th, 2008 and must adhere to rules of the Competition as described at www.smokebrushporter.com
The “Smokebrush Porter” Beer Label Contest is part of a fund-raising initiative between Bristol Brewing Company and Smokebrush Foundation with advertising and other sponsorship for the project graciously donated by The Independent and Smokemuse Inc.
The Beer Label Contest will launch the 2009 Smokebrush Porter. Profits from the sale of the beer are to be generously donated by Bristol Brewing Company to The Smokebrush Foundation. The competition is primarily intended to allow residents of Colorado the opportunity to participate in this initiative and, should they win the contest, to have their artwork adorn another excellent beverage by our friends at Bristol Brewing Company. The Smokebrush Porter is a seasonal brew and not a year-round product. The exact date upon which it will become available to the public will be determined by the brewing process but look for it in January of 2009 and enjoy!
Prizes and Parties
The winner of the competition will receive $250, one case of the finished Smokebrush Porter, a half-page spot in the Independents February “Drink” special (announcing the winner and profiling them), and the satisfaction of seeing their artwork adorn each and every bottle of Smokebrush Porter issued by Bristol Brewing Company in 2009. Runners up will receive a gift certificate kindly provided by the Independent for the purposes of this competition from one of various local businesses.
The awards ceremony will be held at The Smokebrush Gallery located at 218 West Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs, CO, 80903 in January/February 2009. The event will be invitation only based upon the number of submissions received. If the number of submissions exceeds that which Smokebrush Foundation deems to be beyond their capacity to host, the event will either be moved to another venue or the guest list will be shortened. Smokebrush Foundation apologizes in advance for any inconvenience that may arise if either measure is taken.
