    Conflict | Resolution Spring break Workshop

    Greetings! We're seeking new youth artists (ages 12 to 24) to be a part of the FutureSelf programs. The first point-of-entry is the spring break workshop that FutureSelf is hosting at Bemis School of Art, in collaboration with the Fine Art Center's Conflict | Resolution exhibition. If you are a young person between the ages of 12 & 24 or know someone who may be interested, please send me an e-mail with the name and contact information so I can reserve a spot for him/her and I'll send you or the young person an application directly. FutureSelf and the Fine Art Center Come Together for a Spring Break Art Experience on Conflict | Resolution As part of the Fine Art Center's exhibition, Conflict | Resolution, FutureSelf and Bemis School of Art at the Fine Art Center will come together to find out what unfolds through the creative process on the topic of Conflict | Resolution. Our exploration will include visual interpretations, the written word, music and film. Our new media class will film pieces of the four day workshop, and the whole process will culminate in an art opening at the Fine Art Center in June 2010. Who: Youth, ages 12 to 24, who are interested in making art of all kinds, painting, poetry, music & mural. When: March 22 – 25, 2010 10am to 4pm every day Where: Bemis, School of Art, 818 Pelham Place (off of Cache La Poudre, behind the Fine Arts Center Main) Cost: There is no fee for this workshop. Your investment is your time and open-mindedness = commitment to attend, willingness to get to know new people, try new things and have fun. Lunch: Provided. However, if you have any special dietary needs, please bring a lunch. Attire: Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy. The max to attend this workshop is 15 people, so it will fill up fast. If you are interested in registering and getting more involved with FutureSelf, please e-mail Amber Cote at amber@futureself.org to hold a spot in the workshop for you and have an application e-mailed to you. If you don't have access to the internet, call at 719-233-4143 to have one mailed. Registration will be confirmed when applications are received back to FutureSelf.
