The Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center is having an open casting call for the role of the Pharaoh for our production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Auditions will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Fine Arts Center, 30 W. Dale Street, Colorado Springs, CO. Character Description: • Pharaoh: The most powerful man in Egypt, Pharaoh is considered a god on earth. Pharaoh is portrayed as an Elvis Presley-style figure. Pharaoh is aged 30-45 with a baritone - tenor range. Please prepare 16-32 bars of an "Elvis-Style" song. You can also prepare Pharaoh's song from the show entitled "Song of the King". Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will perform November 26-December 19, 2010 with rehearsals starting on or around October 12. The creative team includes Cory Moosman, Director; Mary Ripper Baker, Choreographer and Musical Director Roberta Jacyshyn.
