Imagination Celebration of Colorado Springs invites families to get swept off their feet into a world of learning, literacy and laughter during its seventh spectacular season of Family Theater at the Pikes Peak Center. This year's season once again offers an affordable opportunity to enjoy delightfully entertaining, literacy-based productions performed by nationally known touring companies. Our second stunning performance of the season is "Aesop's Fables," based on the classic stories by Aesop himself and produced by the award-winning Manitou Art Theatre. Leap into a world where tortoises outrun hares, geese lay golden eggs and wolves dress up in sheep's clothing. The wisdom and wit of some of Aesop's best-loved fables come to life in this original and hilarious world-premiere adaptation blending breath-taking puppetry, live music and physical comedy. In addition to the performance, Imagination Celebration flings open the lobby doors one hour before showtime, offering children a chance to create their own artwork related to the show at fun, interactive hands-on art stations.
