Imagination Celebration of Colorado Springs invites families to get swept off their feet into a world of learning, literacy and laughter during its seventh spectacular season of Family Theater at the Pikes Peak Center. This year's season once again offers an affordable opportunity to enjoy delightfully entertaining, literacy-based productions performed by nationally known touring companies. Our third thrilling performance of the season is "Miss Nelson Has a Field Day," based on the book by Harry G. Allard and produced by the Omaha Theater Company for Young People. The big football game is approaching and the situation appears to be hopeless. Even the school faculty is convinced the team will lose until Miss Nelson calls in a secret weapon: the dreaded Viola Swamp! In addition to the performance, Imagination Celebration flings open the lobby doors at 6:00 pm, offering children a chance to create their own artwork related to the show at fun, interactive hands-on art stations.
