Add Review/CommentPolitics, beauty and the environment make for strange and wonderful bedfellows in the photographs of Peter Goin. You'll get a rare chance to experience Goin's visual and cultural legacy of mining landscapes throughout the United States along with a unique reason to visit the Western Museum of Mining and History at this show, which runs through December 29. Goin is an artist, author and professor of Art in photography and videography at the University of Nevada, Reno. Peter's photographs have been exhibited in more than fifty museums nationally and internationally. He has received two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships and his photographs have been published in numerous books, including but not limited to: Stopping Time: A Rephotographic Survey of Lake Tahoe, Nuclear Landscapes, Atlas of the New West and Changing Mines in America. The exhibit runs until December 29, 2007. Exhibit Opening is free of charge and will include a special talk by the artist and food and drink. Please RSVP by September 7 to 719-488-0880.
