"Santos" are some of the greatest craft objects to come out of the Southwest, and you can meet one of its living masters. Charlie Carrillo, a Santero, or carver and painter of images of saints in the tradition of Hispanic New Mexico, and a recipient of the 2006 National Heritage Award from the National Endowment for the Arts, will present a lecture on "The History and Culture of Santos" at Pikes Peak Community College Wednesday, October 10, 2007...
