    "Santos" are some of the greatest craft objects to come out of the Southwest, and you can meet one of its living masters. Charlie Carrillo, a Santero, or carver and painter of images of saints in the tradition of Hispanic New Mexico, and a recipient of the 2006 National Heritage Award from the National Endowment for the Arts, will present a lecture on "The History and Culture of Santos" at Pikes Peak Community College Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 7 pm at the Downtown Studio Campus Gallery at 100 West Pikes Peak Avenue. The event is free and open to the public. Mr. Carrillo will also exhibit and sell his award-winning work at Spanish Art Market held at the Downtown Studio Campus of Pikes Peak Community College October 12 and 13. Information: 502-2091.
