This bi-annual (sometimes) art event has consistently been one of the best-attended showings of young Colorado artists in the Springs. Drawn mostly from the vibrant hip-hop community, the art's always reasonably priced and top-notch. Voted "Best Art Show For Up and Coming Artists" by The Independent. Nocturnal Mockery is a 3-day weekend event held twice each year, continuously providing a creative venue for local artists who wish to show off and sell their artwork. There will be live Hiphop performances by The Archetypes, and live Rock by Stone Lions with Long Distance to Washington. Edifice Clothing's magician, Evan Conver, will be performing magic all three days, and Kemic_1 will be busy airbrushing designs all over willing people for the duration of the show. Be sure to catch belly dancing by Taka, and a B-Boy exhibition by Soul Mechanics B-Boy Crew. Many artists will be selling original artwork, prints, jewelry and clothing. This is a great opportunity to add to your art collection. Nocturnal Mockery doesn't charge the artists commision for work sold, allowing them to keep dollar amounts low. There are also several silent auctions to sell artwork donated by exhibiting artists.
