Second Sunday Jazz Affair: Laura Davis and Friends
October 14, 2007
Add Review/CommentDon't let "affair" and "swing" confuse you: it's the Pikes Peak Jazz and Swing Society’s Second Sunday Jazz Affair featuring Laura Davis and Friends on October 14 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Olympian Plaza Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard in Colorado Springs. John Turner on piano, Jon Ward, bass; Richard Clark on drums and Brad Eastin on saxophone with Laura on vocals will be playing and singing a lot of the great old jazz and big band standards that will span the years from the 20's thru the 70's, and even a few originals from some of the musicians. The music will be very danceable also. All area jazz enthusiasts and dancers are invited. There will be a cold buffet of salads, crudités, meats, breads, cheeses, chips, dips, and dessert bar available for purchase for $10.00; a cash bar, dancing, door prizes, and a very enjoyable afternoon on the menu!. Admission cost is $7.00 general public and $5.00 jazz society members. Tickets are available at the door and reservations are not necessary.
