If blues is what you want, then what you want is here. A Music Company Inc. brings back Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin for a return engagement at Jimbo's Take 2, 2427 N. Union Blvd., on Sunday, October 28, 2007. After a successful appearance at the venue in March, Margolin has been eager to return to Jimbo's Take 2. Bob Margolin with his Telecaster, accompanied by Al Chesis of the Delta Sonics on harmonica, provided their audience with an absolutely wonderful night of Blues salted with interesting stories. "This was truly one of the best evenings of music I've been privileged to hear!" says Jim Adam of Jimbo's Take 2 Jimbo's Take 2 is an intimate listening venue with great sound at a reasonable volume level without the distractions normally associated with live music. Jimbo's is organized as a private membership club making it acceptable for patrons to bring in their own food and drink. Details on becoming a member can be found on their web site: www.jimbostake2.com Bob Margolin is a Blues guitar player and vocalist, a recording artist who tours worldwide both leading his own band and The Bob Margolin All-Star Blues Jam. He won a W.C. Handy Award in 2005 for Guitar and played guitar in Muddy Waters Band from 1973-80. He can be seen with Muddy Waters and The Band in The Last Waltz, the classic music documentary. His most recent album In North Carolina features Margolin playing original and cover songs that are, as he explains, in my heart when Im home. All of my previous recordings were made in studios or live onstage. This one has been crafted slowly over the last few years. Some are solo performances, some employ overdubbing added instruments. His recording The Bob Margolin All-Star Blues Jam for Telarc Records, features many of todays surviving Chicago Blues legends. Since the 90s, he has also recorded albums for the Powerhouse, Alligator, and Blind Pig labels. He writes a regular column for Blues Revue magazine and contributes to BluesWax.com online magazine. Bob also has played on, produced or consulted on, and written liner notes for four reissues of Muddy Waters albums on the Sony/Legacy label. He appears on the Muddy Waters Classic Concerts DVD, playing in 1977 with Muddy and writing liner notes for the DVD. In todays Blues music scene, Bob Margolin is carrying on the tradition with a full schedule of festivals, concerts, and club appearances.
