Colorado Springs has a weath of oft-overlooked printmaking talent. Some of the best, a loose collective called "The C-Springs Thirteen" have created a unique and one-time limited edition box set of prints entitled "The Nature of Design" that will be on display all month at Smokebrush. Each box contains thirteen original prints, all measuring 11 x 14 inches and all created in 2007. Artists explore all forums of printmaking including etchings, photographs and giclee through the common lens of the them, "The Nature of Design." Artists are: Ele Annand Michael Cellan Marina Eckler Colin Frazer Holly Garlow Jean Gummper C.J. Hendrickson Karla Lee-Estrada Daisy McConnell Cris Pulos Kevin Thayer Peri Tyler Charles Walters Exhibit runs November 2 through December 1 in the Chapel of Art at Smokebrush Gallery. Please join us for the opening reception at our First Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
