THEATRE & DANCE

Dar al-Harb
March 13-April 6, 2008
Add Review/Comment
In 1949, Sayyid Qutb came from Egypt to Greeley, Colorado, to take a master's degree in education. There he found American life primitive and shocking, full of green lawns, bad hair cuts, and sorority girls. Our brand new production, written by Theatreworks artistic director Murray Ross, imagines what might have happened between the founder of Islamic radicalism and some mischievous coeds, who introduce him to a new chaotic world, the land of Dar al-Harb.
