Get a glimpse of the future of animated film from 2007's premier event for the most innovative, accomplished, and amazing digital film and video creators in the world. Juried selections from submissions from around the world include outstanding achievements in time-based art, scientific visualization, visual effects, real-time graphics, and narrative shorts. Since 1999, several works from the Siggraph Animation Festival have been nominated for and or have received an Academy Award for "Best Animated Short." This years festival features works for top studios such as Electronic Arts, Blur Studio, Industrial Light and Magic Pixar Animation Studios, Blue Sky Studios, Digital Domain, Inc. as well as work by independent artists from around the world. Among the 45-minute festival reel enjoy Best of Show "Ark" and Award of Excellence "En Tus Brazos" in their entirety as well as digital highlights from big screen movies such as "Children of Men" and "Pan's Labyrinth."
