Companeras is an intimate profile of America's first all-female mariachi band - Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles, by filmmaker Elizabeth Massie. Taking on a male-dominated culture and musical tradition, this 12 member group has been shattering stereotypes about Latina women while expanding the popularity of mariachi music.
