Family Exploration Day: Women's History Celebration

Celebrate Women's History Month at the Mining Museum and hear featured scholar Susan Marie Frontczak bring the dramatic story of scientist Marie Curie to life. Additionally, the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame will display an exciting temporary exhibit that shares the stories of women who created, shaped, and changed our state's and nation's history. After the feature presentation, you canl experience the lives of pioneer women by taking part in hands-on activities such as quilting, soap making, wool dyeing and spinning. To top off the celebration and to honor all Colorado women, there will be an Edwardian era tea! Free with paid admission. Reservations required. Plese call 719-488-0880.
