If you long for the good old days, those seemingly bygone days when your community could get together over pie and ice cream and celebrate the long and lazy days of summer, then long no more. The Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce presents the 6th annual Pie Baking Contest and the 12th annual Ice Cream Social held in Soda Springs Park from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Little London winds will perform at the park as they have every Monday this summer, but this time you'll be able to eat pie and ice cream and talk to your Manitoid neighbors. Contact the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce at 719-685-5089 for contest rules and entry information if you fancy yourself a pie baker and would like to participate.
