Manitou's got a lot of great events each year, but the fruitcake toss takes the cake ... and hurls it. Using catapults, slingshots, spud guns (yes, spud guns) sheer human will and other means of turning the world's least favorite baked goods into projectiles, Manitou has created and sustained one of the greatest holiday traditions in the Americas. Believe it or not, this is the event's 13th year and it has moved back to its original home at Memorial Park in Manitou. And don't forget the beauty contest!
