Platinum-selling country singer Dierks Bentley and his "Throttle Wide Open" tour arrive in Colorado Springs! The 32-year-old Phoenix native arrived on the national scene five years ago, when he was signed to Capitol Records and released his self-named debut album, which produced the No. 1 country single, "What Was I Thinkin'?" The album went platinum, as did his 2005 follow-up, "Modern Day Drifter." His most recent release, 2006's "Long Trip Alone," produced two No. 1 singles, "Every Mile a Memory" and "Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)." Also on the bill are fellow country singers Bucky Covington and country music up-and-comer Lee Brice. Bucky Covington and his famously long-flowing locks came to national prominence when he reached eighth place during the fifth season of TV's "American Idol." His self-titled first album, released a year ago, debuted in the No. 1 slot on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and No. 4 on Billboard"s Top 200 Albums chart. It also spun off the No. 6 hit single, "A Different World."
