Add Review/CommentThe fashion show will complement the exhibition, which displays the scarves or "artist squares" developed by Zika and Lida Ascher, Czech refugees in London, who started a textile business in 1939. After a period of "prolonged drabness" during World War II, the Aschers broke the mold by screen-printing designs on grand-scale silk scarves. The designs were done by some of the top artists of the day including Marie Laurencin, Henry Moore, Henri Matisse, Alexander Calder and Jean Cocteau.
