HamletPolice or Synchronicity
Presented by Colorado College Drama and Dance Dept. at Colorado College - Armstrong Theater
May 8, 2008
|
An original adaptation by Colorado College Drama Department Chair Tom Lindblade that combines Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and the album "Synchronicity" by the Police, set in the rather apocalyptic present. The piece attempts to tell Hamlet's story in terms of his essential alienation, his isolation in a world of video and film and rock, and his devastation at the loss of a parent.
