The workshop provides a hands-on opportunity for students in grades 4-12 who need help with any or all of the topics addressed during the workshops. Students also attend rehearsals and concerts of new music presented by the Colorado College Summer Session's New Music Symposium. The goal for every student participating in the Summer Workshop is to benefit from the classes and also have the chance to discuss with the workshop faculty any questions about their compositions, theory and harmony, and how to prepare their compositions for performance. Practice studios are available and each student receives two private lessons with the faculty.
