The City of Colorado Springs presents the July 4th Patriotic Celebration Concert! Enjoy live Rock ‘n Roll from the 50’s through the 90’s performed by “The Beats”  beginning at 5 p.m. The CS Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Associate Conductor Thomas Wilson, takes the stage at 8 p.m. performing Big Band, Broadway, Patriotic and Western favorites and featuring the very talented and well-known Amy Sue Hardy and Chris Lawson on vocals and trumpet, respectively. The Philharmonic will perform a selection of patriotic favorites including Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture complete with booming cannons from a parade battery of six Howitzer cannons provided by the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado. As always, the evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display. The Concert will be repeated on Saturday July 5th in Woodland Park at the Woodland Park Middle School. Please leave pets at home. No BBQ grills, open fires, weapons or alcohol allowed.

      To offset the cost, maybe a minimum fee could be charged- like $5 per person. Maybe something to consider in the future.
