Improvisational comedy troupes Stick Horses in Pants and the RiP will go head-to-head for the title of Colorado Springs' finest.  The competition will feature celebrity judges and will allow audience members to vote for the best performing troupe after each round. Stick Horses in Pants (SHiP) began performing improv in Colorado Springs in 2004. The RiP began a year later. During the past few years, a friendly rivalry between the two troupes has been mounting. "We've enjoyed watching each other perform," says Stick Horses member Hunter Willis. "Now it's time to see who can claim the title of 'Improv Kings of Colorado Springs!'" The troupes welcome the chance to perform together. "The RiP is happy for the opportunity to collaborate with SHiP," says RiP member Margarita Archilla. "This show is a great way of getting improv on the map as a viable entertainment option in the Pikes Peak region." The show promises to be high-energy, and its competitive, American Idol feel will force both troupes to bring their best material to the stage as they create on-the-spot skits using audience suggestions. Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at www.theStickHorses.com.
