"And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything."

It's easy to find good in everything when summer's spell has cast a smile on every face. Summer is also especially joyous in the Springs as Theatreworks launches its annual Shakespeare Festival to kick off another triumphant season of theatrical excellence. Performing the Bard's comedic gem As You Like It, Theatreworks celebrates the magic and restorative powers of the great outdoors. Also running in repertory with As You Like It is an adaptation of Shakespeare's Venus and Adonis.

About As You Like It: A group of desperate refugees fly from an oppressive court, and in the great outdoors they find all the world’s a stage. Freedom ripples through every brook; love blooms on every branch. It’s Shakespeare’s richest comedy, featuring his greatest heroine, Rosalind, the girl who dresses like a boy to teach the boy how to get the girl. No one does it better.

      TRAFFIC ALERT

Construction on Austin Bluffs will make things a little difficult for those trying to reach the theater heading East on Austin Bluffs. Please use extra time to reach the theater. The city advises:

      * Left turns from eastbound Austin Bluffs Parkway to northbound Cragwood Drive were eliminated permanently on February 12, 2007.
      * As part of the final configuration, access to Cragwood Drive from Austin Bluffs Parkway will be eliminated and replaced with new access as follows:
o Traffic heading west on Austin Bluffs Parkway will turn right on Cragmor Village Road to reach the new frontage road that will be constructed.
o Traffic heading east on Austin Bluffs Parkway will turn left on Meadow Lane to reach the new frontage road that will be constructed.
      * Until the new access opens, northbound Cragwood Drive can only be accessed as a right hand turn from westbound Austin Bluffs Parkway.

      What do to....

We recommend approaching the theater using west-bound Austin Bluffs OR approaching via Union. To approach heading east-bound on Austin Bluffs you could make a U-turn at Austin Bluffs and Union and double back on west-bound Austin Bluffs.
