    Dos Americas Concert

    Dos Americas, a guitar duo comprised of Argentine virtuoso Alejandro Devila and Canon City guitarist/composer Jim Bosse, specializes in contemporary classical guitar music from Argentina and the United States. This year's program will present music by Argentine composers Astor Piazzolla, Jorge Cardoso and Jose Paredes. They will also perform the United States premiere of Bosse's latest composition for guitar quartet, "Conversations With...

    Dos Americas, a guitar duo comprised of Argentine virtuoso Alejandro Devila and Canon City guitarist/composer Jim Bosse, specializes in contemporary classical guitar music from Argentina and the United States. This year's program will present music by Argentine composers Astor Piazzolla, Jorge Cardoso and Jose Paredes. They will also perform the United States premiere of Bosse's latest composition for guitar quartet, "Conversations With My Father." Denver based Duo Soledad will make a guest appearance to fill out the guitar quartet for this piece, and several other of Bosse's ensemble compositions and arrangements. Sponsored by the Colorado Springs Guitar Society and the CC Summer Festival of the Arts.
