Topics for this year's annual summer seminar series include: Spider Biology, Basic Mapping, Watershed Discovery, Minerals of the Pikes Peak Granite, Archaeology of South Park, Trees and Wildflowers, Railroading Pikes Peak, Evolution and the Nature of Science, and a Teacher Workshop on Fossil Excavation.

With a different seminar every weekend, the series lasts all summer long, beginning with Spider Biology June 14th. All seminars begin at Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, approximately 40 miles West of Colorado Springs. For more information or to pre-register by phone, call: (719) 748-3253. Note: Most seminars take place on weekends, but the seminar on Wildflowers takes place from July 8th through 10th.
