    Clayfest 2008

    The 18th Annual Clayfest is an event that brings spectators and potters of all skill levels together for a weekend of fun and games. The Potters' Games this year are hosted by Manitou Art Theater's Jim Jackson and include blind-folded pot throwing, the Soldner Challenge, all-day pots competition in aesthetic, biggest pot and tea pot categories, partners handle-pull, no-handed pot throwing and (sure to be a crowd favorite), the fastest bucket...

    The 18th Annual Clayfest is an event that brings spectators and potters of all skill levels together for a weekend of fun and games. The Potters' Games this year are hosted by Manitou Art Theater's Jim Jackson and include blind-folded pot throwing, the Soldner Challenge, all-day pots competition in aesthetic, biggest pot and tea pot categories, partners handle-pull, no-handed pot throwing and (sure to be a crowd favorite), the fastest bucket o' balls. In addition to the pottery competitions, there are workshops for professional and amateur potters, throwing lessons for $5 and activities for children. Don't miss this uniquely Manitou-flavored event.

    Ceramic Decal Workshop at Claypeople with Elizabeth Robinson (located at 517 Manitou Ave., next to the Business of Art Center's Venue 515), Friday, June 27th, and continuing on Sunday, June 29th.
