SHINE: An Urban Arts Celebration is an event featuring break dance workshops, beat mixing class, free community intro to break dance class and high energy dance jam featuring performances by dance crews Soul Mechanics and Affiliated with music by D.J. Prominent. The event has been designed to combat the negative image of hip hop through careful selection of music, performers, and instructors while celebrating the power and creative energy of urban arts.

  Tickets: Prices for workshops are $50 per day, and $80 for the weekend. Anyone 14 and over is welcome to participate.
  
  The community at large is invited to participate in a FREE Intro to Break Dance workshop for beginners and Dance Jam with a suggested $5.00 donation to Arts for Everybody, a local non-profit dedicated to helping youth reach their individual potential through arts experiences.
