    Dream City Vision 2020Capture your vision in poetry, essay, visual art, performing arts or film to engage with this community-wide visioning process to bring to life the city of your dreams. There's no entry fee to participate, and artists of all ages are invited to create an artistic representation around the theme of  where we have been and where we are going as a community.

    Three winners in each category (Visual Art, Poetry, Essay, and Peformance/Film) for each age group (12 and Under, 13-17, and 18-Adult) will be selected. Original writing or artwork is required. Entrants will be notified of the jury's decision via e-mail by 9/30/08.  Additional pieces will be selected for inclusion in exhibitions, online galleries, and project publications. All entrants will be invited to attend exhibitions, readings and screenings.

    Contest Guidelines:

    VISUAL ART ENTRIES
    • All submissions must reflect the contest theme
    • One entry per person/group, per category
    • Entries must be accompanied by a completed application
    • 2D entries must be gallery-ready (framed, matted and wired). No sawtooth hangers.
    • 3D entries must be ready for display. (No pieces that require assembly.)
    • Entries in the "12 and under" age group should be mounted on construction paper for display.

    LITERARY ENTRIES
    • All submissions must reflect the contest theme.
    • One entry per person/group, per category
    • Entries must be accompanied by a completed application
    • Poetry submissions not to exceed 200 words; essay entries not to exceed 500 words.

    FILM PERFORMANCE ENTRIES
    • All submissions must reflect the contest theme
    • One entry per person/group, per category
    • Entries must be accompanied by a completed application
    • Length of film/performance pieces not to exceed 12 minutes.
    • Post entry on Youtube and send link to dreambig@dreamcity2020.com

    FILM/PERFORMANCE ENTRIES – Submitted via YouTube link by 4 p.m., September 22 to dreambig@dreamcity2020.com
