Add Review/CommentCome out to hear this special poetry reading from Chris Martin, author of several chapbooks, including The Day Reagan Died. In addition to being an award-winning poet, Martin is a rapper, a singer, and a teacher. He edits Puppy Flowers, an online magazine of the arts. He holds an MA in Poetry, Performance, and Education from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University, and lives in Brooklyn.
Additionally, Martin is the author of American Music, recipient of the Hayden Carruth Award from Copper Canyon Press. Most of it takes place in Brooklyn, but he was born at Penrose Hospital and grew up at 1718 N. Tejon St. These days he edits Puppy Flowers, an online journal of the arts, and teaches the youths of New York to stay curious. Some years back, a chapbook of his dream poems called Vermontana was published by Noel Black as part of the Angry Dog Midget Editions.
