    "Happenstance"
Directed by Joyce Draganosky (USA, 2007, 8 min.)
Beth is in for a surprise when she meets her son's new girlfriend.

    Tru Loved
Directed by Stewart Wade (USA, 2008, 99 min.)
Tru moves with her two moms from the comfortable trappings of San Francisco to a southern California suburb. When she starts dating the star quarterback, she discovers he’s another closet case. She starts a Gay-Straight Alliance at her high school. Tru Loved is an examination of one adolescent’s courageous ability to counter small town small-mindedness, broaching tough issues—interracial dating, gay parenting and school-sanctioned homophobia.  This is a heart-warming film for the entire family with an all-star cast. Winner of P-FLAG’s National Focuson Equality Award.

The Pikes Peak Lavender Film Festival is the only completely LGBT film festival in Colorado, and has been held in Colorado Springs since 1999. The festival programmers select from the best short films and features screened at the annual San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival. The Lavender Film Festival is held over a three-day period, opens on a Friday evening with a reception before the screening of that night’s short and feature. The remaining film programs are presented on Saturday and Sunday, being followed by after-parties at the Underground Bars on North Nevada Avenue.
