    Ciao
Directed by Yen Tan (USA, 2007, 87 min.)
(In English, Italian and Mandarin with English subtitles)
Before the story starts, Mark suddenly dies in a car wreck and his best friend Jeff has to tie up all the loose ends. In perusing Mark’s computer, Jeff discovers there is a surprise: Mark had met on-line, a hot Italian, named Andrea, and he's coming to Texas to meet Mark for the first time. Jeff becomes curious and decides to invite Andrea to come to Texas. Ciao explores our longing to connect in a transient world.  Quiet cinematography, spare music, and smart, natural writing combine to create an intimate tale of hope and beauty. Jury Award Best Feature, Philadelphia IGLFF, 2008.

The Pikes Peak Lavender Film Festival is the only completely LGBT film festival in Colorado, and has been held in Colorado Springs since 1999. The festival programmers select from the best short films and features screened at the annual San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival. The Lavender Film Festival is held over a three-day period, opens on a Friday evening with a reception before the screening of that night’s short and feature. The remaining film programs are presented on Saturday and Sunday, being followed by after-parties at the Underground Bars on North Nevada Avenue.
