Add Review/CommentTimothy Egan's nonfiction book, The Worst Hard Time, winner of the 2006 National Book Award, was chosen as one of the 2008 APPR book selections, along with John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath. In The Worst Hard Time, Egan profiles many of the survivors and their families and recounts those difficult times also written about by John Steinbeck in The Grapes of Wrath.
(Egan will give two lectures about his book on October 2 at Pikes Peak Community College's Rampart Range Campus and Colorado College's Armstrong Theater. Attendance is free.)
